     Green Crozet  was founded by Ava Jackson, a high school student at Western Albemarle High School. Green Crozet aims to bridge the gap between consumers looking to make a positive impact on the environment and small businesses committed to sustainability initiatives. Based in Crozet, Virginia, Green Crozet will act as a platform for small businesses to showcase their environmentally-friendly services to a wider audience, thus increasing their visibility and customer base. 

  At Green Crozet, our main mission is to create a safer environment in Crozet. As a new organization in the first phases of our mission, the main focus is on partnering with companies who are willing to pledge small-scale, easy-to-do actions that have a big impact in Crozet. This is ultimately in an attempt to reduce carbon emissions and excessive waste. Green Crozet will target small businesses in the Charlottesville and Crozet area that are committed to sustainability initiatives, including but not limited to: grocery stores, green energy providers, eco-friendly clothing brands, sustainable restaurants, recycling and waste management companies, low-waste shops, and local farmers and producers of food.
